How Dermal Fillers Work
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) dermal fillers are a popular and widely used injectable treatment designed to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps retain moisture in the skin, keeping it plump and hydrated. As we age, the body’s natural levels of hyaluronic acid decrease, leading to the development of wrinkles, fine lines, and volume loss.
HA fillers are injected into the skin to add volume, soften lines and enhance facial features. The hyaluronic acid in the filler attracts water molecules, which helps to plump and hydrate the skin, making it look smoother, fuller and more youthful.
